Design philosophy

  • Light mode only — clean, airy, content-first
  • Minimal — no unnecessary UI
  • ASCII as art — subtle generative pieces as decoration, not theme
  • High craft — smooth transitions, thoughtful hover states

Technical choices

  • Next.js 15 with App Router for the framework
  • MDX for content management (no CMS needed)
  • Three.js for the subtle 3D ASCII art
  • Tailwind CSS for styling
  • Vercel for hosting

  • Digital garden with three content types: thoughts, projects, concepts
  • Writing section with topic filters
  • Live integrations (Spotify, location, reading list)
  • Easter eggs (try the Konami code)

Building this in public has been a fun exercise in dogfooding my own ideas about shipping and iteration.
